We're absolutely tickled pink to introduce you to our brand new range of Moomin cross stitch kits. This collaboration between The Crafty Kit Company and ©Moomin Characters™ is a dream come true, based on shared values of love, kindness and respect for nature.

"How nice to be on your own for a bit and do what you like" - Moominmamma

Snorkmaiden is Moomintroll’s friend and playmate. They like each other a lot and love spending time together. Snorkmaiden is happy and energetic, although her habit of suddenly changing her mind can sometimes be taxing.

This project is perfect for beginners to cross stitch. It's also a beautiful gift to give either as a kit or as the finished project.

- Suitable for beginners
- Recommended for age 10+

- Finished size approximately 18cm
- B1G1 - your purchase enables us to support global charities

- Designed and made in Scotland by the Crafty Kit Company

Inside this kit you'll find everything you need to create sweet little Snorkmaiden amongst the flowers: 18cm bamboo hoop, aida cross stitch fabric, DMC embroidery thread,  needle, chart with blocks and symbols, Beginners' Guide to Cross Stitch.

Lovely cross stitch design and colours

I bought this kit when it was first released, then succumbed to Covid. This project provided an ideal distraction from my symptoms as the instructions were very clear and I was able to stitch along slowly at my own pace. Despite the apparent simplicity of the design there is a lot of stitching to be done, as even the Moomin’s body is stitched in white. This does however enhance its appearance over leaving the fabric unstitched. As the different colours are worked it all comes together beautifully. There is plenty of thread, so there is no worry of running out even if you have the odd tangled thread. The kit would be suitable for a beginner or someone with more experience. It comes with everything that you need, including the hoop in which to hold the fabric while stitching, and then to display it. I swapped the hoop for one that has been covered in a complementary print, but the plain bamboo hoop would also look lovely.

Thank you for a wonderful, and very informative, review of this cross-stitch kit! This is just the kind of review that will help other crafters, especially those new to cross-stitch. I hope you're also feeling better now, Sue x
