Found gluing tricky tried several different types including glue guns but couldn’t get a fine line of glue to stick. So a glue recommendation would be helpful

again Jo's instructions are easy to follow and cleverly thought out. making these inspired me to try and make the skeletonised version you get when they are dried - although I had to sew the 'petals' as the glue would have looked untidy

Sue United KingdomVery clever and effective idea to make Chinese Lanterns!
Another creative crafty kit, which I very much enjoyed making. I discovered that there was a better way to cut the ‘petals’ out after I’d cut my felt up into rectangles first - draw around the little template shape onto the whole piece of felt, then cut them out. That way the template can be moved around the felt to use it more economically. Luckily I’d bought two kits, so I had enough felt to make in total three stems of lanterns, by using some other shades of felt that I already had. I wanted to try making a stem of the ‘flowers’ in different stages of ‘ripening’. I loved both the kit version as well as my own. Quite easy to make - a hot glue gun is good to use, but have a damp cloth handy to wipe the glue threads off your fingers as you go!

Katie Another lovely kit
Another well thought out kit with comprehensive instructions. Some of it was a bit tricky but I was unable to attend the Zoom workshop which would have made it clearer I’m sure. Unless you are very experienced I would always recommend the workshops. One small gripe is that I although these kits usually have a generous amount of felt, I ran out of orange felt, only managing to make 4 of the 5 flowers. I guess I wasn’t careful enough when I cut them out. Very pleased with the results though.
