We’re so excited to announce our latest creative event – the Indian Summer Felting Challenge! This is your chance to let your imagination run free, experiment with colour and texture, and maybe even win a fantastic prize.
What’s in the Challenge Pack?
To take part, you’ll need our specially curated Indian Summer Felting Challenge Pack. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to spark your creativity:
- Selection of beautifully shaded Corriedale wool
- Sparkling Angelina gold fibres
- A fun mini umbrella.
These materials are designed to inspire your felting project – but how you use them is entirely up to you.
What Are the Rules?
To make sure the challenge is fair and fun for everyone, here are a few simple rules to follow:
- You can make anything you like using the Challenge pack. All the different items must be used, but each one doesn't need to be used in its entirety.
- Mixed media is welcome, but the main technique must be felting (either wet or dry).
- Additional elements from your own supplies can be used: these could include wire, pipe cleaners, eyes, beads, thread etc.
- Up to three fibres from your own supplies can be added.
- For this challenge, entrants must include up to 3 natural foraged items.

What Is the Prize?
We know you’ll enjoy the making process, but there’s an exciting prize to be won too. The winner of the Indian Summer Felting Challenge will receive £100 to spend with The Crafty Kit Company. Imagine how many fabulous new kits, supplies, or materials you could treat yourself to with that prize!
When Can I Start Crafting?
You can start as soon as you’ve got your Challenge Pack in hand! Get experimenting with your wool, fibres, and mini umbrella, and let your imagination run wild.
How Do I Enter?
Entries must be uploaded to the Indian Summer Felting Challenge album in our friendly Craft Your Way To Happiness Facebook group on 10th October 2025. The winner will then be announced on 13th October 2025. Don’t forget to share your photo in the group for everyone to admire – we love seeing the creativity that shines through in every challenge.
How Do I Vote?
Voting is as simple as 'liking' your favourite entry posts! Voting starts on the 11th October until midnight GMT on 12th October. The winner of the challenge will be the post with the most 'likes' and will be announced in the group on the 13th October. We encourage all participants to share their post on Facebook with friends and family, to get as much engagement as you can. The Craft Your Way To Happiness Facebook Group is a public group.
