Get Crafty with 2025's Bee Inspired Challenge!
This lovely photo was taken by Catherine, a member of our Craft Your Way To Happiness Facebook group. She went on to win our Bees & Butterflies Photo Challenge, and as a way to celebrate this lovely photograph (and hold on to the bright shades of summer!) we've created this challenge!
So what do I have to do?
All you need to do is recreate the winning photo taken by Catherine, from our recent Bees and Butterflies Photo Challenge - this time, using your favourite arts and crafts techniques! The Bee Inspired Crafty Challenge invites you to bring this beautiful, nature-inspired image to life through your own creative lens.
You can use any artistic medium you like - some examples include:
🧵 Embroidery
🎨 Painting
🪡 Needle felting
🧶 Crochet
🧵 Felt art
📸 Mixed media collage
🌿 Or any other crafty technique you enjoy!
Let your imagination run wild - but make sure your finished piece clearly takes inspiration from the winning photo.
When does it start?
The challenge officially begins on Thursday 24th July.
And when can I start creating?
From 24th July, you can begin working on your crafty creation. You’ll have until Thursday 14th August to complete and photograph your entry.
Please keep your finished piece under wraps until 14th August - we want to reveal everyone’s amazing work at the same time!
And when do I enter?
Put 14th August in your diary!
All entries must be uploaded to the Bee Inspired Crafty Challenge Album in the Craft Your Way to Happiness Facebook group (any time before midnight GMT).
How is the challenge judged?
Judging will take place on 15th & 16th August, based on the number of ‘likes’ each entry receives in the challenge album.
The photo with the most likes by midnight GMT on 16th August will be our winner! We will announce the winner in our Craft Your Way To Happiness Facebook group on 17th August!
The Craft Your Way to Happiness group is public, so feel free to share your entry with friends and family - just remember, strangers might also leave lovely likes and comments too!
Is there a prize?
Yes! The winner will receive a £30 Crafty Kit Company voucher, redeemable on anything from our website. What a lovely bonus for getting crafty and having fun!
